American Red Cross Lifeguarding Recertification Class – June 2025

American Red Cross Lifeguarding Recertification Course at Hamilton Lakes Swim and Tennis Club. Course cost is $150. Course payment or non-refundable deposit are required to hold your spot in the course. Participants must be currently certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguard or be expired no more than 30 days. Course will certify participants who complete it in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR, AED and First-Aid. All certifications will be valid for two (2) years. *This will be a blended learning course. About six (6) hours of online learning must be completed prior to the first day of the course.* DATE: *All sessions at Hamilton Lakes Swim and Tennis* Monday – June 16th 8:00am – 6:00pm PRE-REQUISITES: Completion of all online learning material prior to the start of the course. Students must be 15 by the last day of class. Swim 150 yards using front crawl or breaststroke, tread water for two minutes without the use of your hands, and swim 50 yards using front crawl or breaststroke. Retrieve a 10 pound object from the bottom 7-10 feet of water (without the use of swim goggles), swim 20 yards with the object keeping both hands on the object, and exit the pool without the use of steps or a ladder. To pass the course: Attend the entire course and participate in all class sessions. Actively participate in all course activities, including assuming various roles Demonstrate competency in all required skills Pass the final written exam with a minimum grade of 80%
